Essential Ingredients Every Blog Post Needs

It’s been some time since I last published an infographic on this blog, but that one really caught my eye!

We’ve all come across (accidentally most of the times) those posts that you can’t quite decide on. Those posts that are somewhat scattered, the information isn’t presented clearly, yet in the end you learn something new.

You see that’s the problem with a lot of the content out there! 

Not that it doesn’t answer (eventually) the “what’s in it for me” question, but that it doesn’t do it in the best possible way.

So what happens is those articles rarely see the light of day, because most people simply don’t get to the point or fail to grasp it.

What I’m sharing with you today is a really neat infographic, created by the Copyblogger team that is all about helping bloggers identify what’s missing in their content. The headline sums it up pretty good actually. 

The infographic can serve as a checklist that you go through every time before you click the “Publish” button.

    That was a stunning infographic, packed with some timeless tips and suggestions! I must admit that if a blog post satisfies/has all the traits mentioned in the article, then it will be kind of a ‘master piece’, an article that people will readily share and link back to!

    I wholeheartedly agree with the ‘magnetic headline’ and the awesome opening part. Because, a catchy headline will help grab a reader’s attention and the opening paragraphs will help keep him/her glued to the article. But, in a bid to make the title a catchy one, we shouldn’t make false promises. I mean, many times, I happen to see promising and catchy headlines for blog posts. But upon reading them, I get to know that the blog post doesn’t live up to the promises made in the title. I think the headline should be ‘magnetic’ and ‘honest’ at the same time! :)

    And one thing that I need to work on is the use of catchy and relevant images. I haven’t been giving images due importance.
