The following page is a collection of pretty much all the tools and resources that I’m currently using to power up this blog and make the most of it!
Along with software and plugins, I have gathered a collection of eBooks about blogging, social media and traffic generation that I have read and found highly useful.
Some of the resources you will see below are free, while others are premium.
For the premium tools and the eBooks I receive a compensation if you decide to purchase. That of course does NOT change the price you pay (except for the coupon codes you will see, which save you money).
Domain and Hosting
Add to that the fact that you get a great customer service and you end up with a pretty reliable hosting provider.
Additionally Hostgator offers a one-click WordPress installation – very useful for everyone who is just starting with WordPress or who doesn’t know a thing about coding.
Design and Functionality
The Genesis Framework offers very clean, search engine optimized code that you probably won’t find on a free theme.
With a wide variety of child themes available and plugins, designed specifically for Genesis, you get a solid level of customization.
Also if you have any problems or requests, the support team will help you in a matter of hours. Oh and did I mention the design is 100% mobile friendly!
Make sure to also read my Genesis Framework review for more information on the pros and cons!
Are you looking for a way to speed your blog?
Well one of the best ways to do that is by signign up for a content delivery network or a CDN. The idea behind CDNs is to upload your content to local servers. Basically the CDN tracks the visitor’s location and loads your blog from the closest server.
That means one thing – better loading times!
And speaking about CDNs, MaxCDN is one of the most well-established companies. I’ve been using their service for almost six months nwo and quite honestly don’t have anything negative to say. At the start I had a few setting-it-all-up kind of problems, but they were all quickly fixed with the technical support’s help (which by the way is great).
Expect a review and a guide to setting up MaxCDN soon!
One of the top WordPress popup plugins is Ninja Popups.

To date this plugin has helped me get over 1,000 email subscribers.

MailChimp is a free email marketing tool that helps you collect the emails of your readers, with their agreement of course and allows you to send out email campaigns to promote your content and products.
Namely the latter is how email marketing can prove beneficial for bloggers.
Ever heard somoene saying that money is in the list?
That statement is still valid today and is the reason why you should embrace email marketing!
Although lots of bloggers seem to prefer the paid alternative Aweber, I believe MailChimp is great for bloggers who are just starting.
If you have less than 2,000 subscribers you don’t have to pay a penny. And let’s not fool ourselves – 2,000 is a big number!
That’s it friends, I hope you did find something interesting in the above list! And if you did I’d really appreciate it if you use the links in this page to get more information.
